As of this morning (29), 03 persons who arrived from overseas were confirmed positive to COVID-19. They are from Lebanon (02) at Punani QC, and one (01) foreign seafarer from Nipuna Boossa QC, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
By 6.00 this morning (29), the total number of detainees in quarantine at Kandakadu and Senapura Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres for Drug Addicts stands at 650.
The flight EY 264 from Abu Dhabi with 24 passengers, the flight QR 688 from Doha, Qatar with 46 passengers and the flight UL 218 from Qatar with 27 passengers have arrived in Colombo. All of those passengers were referred to Quarantine Centres, managed by tri-services after formalities at the airport.
Within the day (29), 297 quarantined individuals after PCR tests are set to leave for their homes. Of them, 154 persons are from Pompemadu QC, 03 from Periyakadu QC, 108 from Kosgoda Sheraton Hotel QC, 30 from Hotel Club Dolphin and 02 from Ruwala, Kalpitiya QC.
Likewise, 46,330 individuals by this morning (29) have been sent back home after quarantining. As of this morning (29), 6882 persons in 75 tri-service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (28), 1203 PCR tests were carried out across the country and the total PCR tests conducted so far stands at 284,059.
Meanwhile, 02 expatriates infected with COVID-19 epidemic after full recovery left hospitals early this morning (29). All of them are expatriates in quarantine at QCs.
By 6.00 this morning (29), the total number of fully recovered detainees in quarantine at Kandakadu and Senapura Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres for Drug Addicts stands at 648.
