231 Brigade's New Commander Assumes Office

Colonel Pradeep Gamage assumed duties as the 6th Commander of the 231 Brigade, amid religious blessings and formalities at the Headquarters on Tuesday (22).

The newly-appointed Commander 231 Brigade was warmly welcomed by Staff Officers and honoured in a Guard Turnout, presented by the troops of the 4 Gemunu Watch. Afterwards, Colonel Pradeep Gamage placed his signature in an official document to mark his assumption of duties, amidst chanting of 'Seth Pirith' in the presence of senior officers.

Later on, he was invited to plant a sapling as a gesture of memory. Later he addressed all rankers in the Brigade and set out his scope of work.
