O/L Students Receive Counselling Before the Exam thru Army Coordination

A workshop on counselling to help students sitting the forthcoming G.C. E (O/L) examination in the general area of Pooneryn was arranged by the 66 Division HQ in close cooperation with the 661 Brigade, 5 (V) Mechanized Infantry Regiment on 4th September.

The useful workshop, 44 student candidates got underway on the directions of the General Officer Commanding, 66 Division, Major General Jagath Kodituwakku and under the supervision of the Commander, 661 Brigade, Brigadier Shantha Hewage.

This workshop, held at Vigneshwara Tamil Mixed School at Nalankatti, Pooneryn was attended by Mr Makeepan, former ONUR (Office for National Unity and Reconciliation) coordinator of the Killinochchi District, Mrs Gilberd Vanceline, a Diploma holder for training, Mrs S. Shanthakala, a Diploma holder in Counselling and Miss R. Kethuja, a graduate. They actively contributed to the training workshop as resource personnel.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the principal and teachers along with the students extended their gratitude to the Army for the initiative.
