On behalf of those War Heroes of the tri-forces, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni, Major General Dammika Jayasinghe and General Officer Commanding (GOC), 56 Infantry Division, Major General Wasantha Abrew, Commander 563 Infantry Brigade, Officers and Other Ranks attended the occasion. Scores of Wanni civilians fell victim to LTTE terrorism before May 2009 as ruthless terrorists went on a killing spree in the Wanni region, in order to evict people from their traditional places of residence with the objective of carving out a separate country, an Eelam for those terrorists. Hamlets in Etambagaskada, Kebithigollewa, Welioya, etc were among the worst-affected due to LTTE terrorism in the Wanni region. Adidas footwear | Nike Shoes
