Foreign Students & Family Members at DSCSC on Tour to Jaffna

Eighteen foreign military student Officers from Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia and Sudan along with their family members currently following the Staff Course No. 14 at the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) in Sri Lanka were taken on a tour to the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna on Sunday (30).

The group received a warm welcome from the Senior Staff at the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna on behalf of the Commander Security Forces - Jaffna, Major General Senerath Bandara on arrival at the venue. The tour organized as a part of their familiarization programme enabled them to receive separate briefings on their respective role and responsibilities of the Security Forces - Jaffna and particularly about their contribution to the war for peace before May 2009. The briefing also educated the visitors on the post-conflict scenario and how the troops are engaged in nation-building roles.
