Troops of the 24 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) of the 591 Brigade under command to the 59 Division of the Security Force HQ in Mullaittivu carried out a series of community-oriented projects in their areas of responsibility during 14-17 August. Meanwhile, 23 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) troops of the 592 Brigade on 14 August, the troops offered lunch to 20 children at Ladani Children’s Home alone with the Commanding Officer. The following day, the troops renovated the Direction name-board at Wattapalei junction since it remained beyond reading.
On 15, 16 and 17 August, the troops cleaned the ETU section at Mullaittivu District Hospital with the cooperation of the hospital staff on 15 August.
The same troops conducted a Shramadana campaign on 19 August to clean the road from the Nadunkerni 40- km milepost to Nuge junction with the assistance of the civilians in the area.
