Major General Senarath Yapa, GOC 57 Division made an official visit to the 7 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (7SLLI) Battalion in Kilinochchi on Thursday (13) in order to receive an update on their operational aspects.
The Commanding Officer using GIS technology and its related applications based on mapping and data storing systems presented an update to the visiting General Officer Commanding which came in for praise of the GOC 57 Division as a new concept that could be emulated by other Brigades and Battalions.
Major General Senarath Yapa addressed the troops in the Battalion Headquarters and a tree sapling was planted in the camp premises in parallel with the visit.
