Commander, Security Forces – Wanni, Major General Dhammika Jayasinghe with the objective of evaluating security arrangements in place in connection with the forthcoming Madu feast visited the 544 Brigade area, together with Major General Indrajith Bandara, General Officer Commanding, 54 Division on Tuesday (30).
At the 24 Gajaba Regiment (GR) camp, situated near the Madu Shrine, the visiting Commander received a comprehensive briefing on Madu feast security arrangements from Brigadier Udaya Herath, 544 Brigade Commander after the visiting Wanni Commander was warmly received on arrival. Police Officers and Health Department officials including respective Public Health Inspectors were also present during the interactive meeting.
