New VIR Colonel of the Regiment Addresses Troops at Regimental Centre

Brigadier Sisira Pilapitiya, the newly-appointed Colonel of the Regiment, Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) after assumption of office addressed his troops on Saturday (23) at the Salute reception hall inside the Boyagane VIR regimental HQ, adhering to health instructions. Brigadier Pilapitiya is the Director, Personnel Administration in the Army and the 19th Colonel of the Regiment, VIR.

During his address, he highlighted the measures that have been taken to arrest the transmission of COVID-19, role and tasks of VIR troops, performance of national duties for the country and protection of the regiment’s prestige.
