Chief of Staff of the Army and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) Major General Sathyapriya Liyanage on Monday (18) paid a visit to the SLAC Training Centre in Anuradhapura, 3 SLAC Regiment HQ and 7 (Volunteer) SLAC Regiment Headquarters. During his stay in Anuradhapura, he paid his tribute to the statue of late Lieutenant General Denzil Kobbakaduwa in the Anuradhapura hospital roundabout, fallen War Heroes’ Monument at Anuradhapura Salgado play ground and SLAC War Heroes’ Monument at Kalattewa camp on account of the National War Heroes' commemoration.
During his troop address, he emphasized on the valuable role being played by troops against transmission of COVID - 19 outbreak at present and the responsibilities that lie with military personnel during this endeavour.
