53 Div GOC Joins Several Projects at Air Mobile Training School

Major General Priyantha Senarathna, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 53 Division made a formal visit to the Nikawewa Air Mobile Training School (AMTS) on Friday (15).

During this visit, he laid the foundation stone for construction of a rafling tower in the AMTS, amidst religious observances and afterwards joined a programme to plant 400 saplings inside the school premises. He also had a look at the 100m firing range under construction and opened a newly-erected utility building for troops and another holiday bungalow for Senior Officers.

All of those projects were closely supervised by Major B.G.R Gamlathge, Chief Instructor at AMTS under the guidance of Colonel D.N.J Fernando, Air Mobile Brigade Commander.
