Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) troops on account of Vesak, Thrice Blessed Day of Buddhists produced a huge 100 x 67 ft Buddhist Flag and hung it atop of the Colombo District Secretariat Building at Colombo 5 on Vesak Day (7).
Sergeant K.K.M Pushpakumara of SLCMP taking an initiative in this regard produced the flag as a tribute to the sacred memory of the Lord Buddha who was born some 2564 years ago.
Members of the Maha Sangha invoked blessings as the flag was raised atop the building.
