In order to enhance the coordination to ensure maximum security to the area while maintaining law and order and also to adopt preventive measures against illegal activities, a coordination conference on security concerns was conducted at the 572 Brigade on Tuesday (3).
The General Officer Commanding, 57 Division, Major General B.P.S de Silva on the instructions of Major General Jayantha Gunaratne, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi, chaired the meeting.
Officers in Charge of all Police stations, including Special Task Force personnel, Grama Niladari Officials in Divisions, Officials from Forest Department and Exercise Department took part in the discussions where use of drugs and addiction, sale of illicit liquor, criminal activities, prevention of robberies were reviewed and evaluated.
