East Commander Visits FMA for Review of Admin Matters

Major General Rasika Fernando, Commander, Security Forces-East made his second official visit to the Forward Maintenance Area (East) Headquarters on Wednesday (4).

On arrival at the Headquarters FMA (E), the Commander, FMA (E), Major General Bhanuka Randeniya extended a warm welcome to the Commander, Security Forces - East and he was accorded a Guard Turnout in accordance with military formalities. Thereafter, the visiting Commander SF-E had a discussion with Officers where they had an opportunity to discuss matters pertaining to administration aspects, operational needs, welfare measures and requirements of the troops as well.

As a symbol of memory, the Security Forces - East Commander was then invited to plant a ‘Mango’ sapling inside the Headquarters premises.

Subsequently, the Commander SF-E visited 3rd Battalion of the Sri Lanka Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (3 SLEME) and was saluted in a Guard Turnout after he was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer, Major Kolitha Almeida.

During the troops’ address, the Commander, Security Forces - East highlighted the importance of continuing training and good work while maintaining the highest standards of discipline at all levels.
