Giving pride of place to Buddhist, Hindu and Catholic religious observances, the 593 Brigade HQ marked its 11th Anniversary on Friday (14) at its premises in Nayaru.
Bodhi Pooja, alms-giving to monks, Hindu Pooja at Wattapalai Kannakiamman Hindu Kovil and Catholic service at St Sebastian Church at Kokilai preceded the anniversary day (15) military segment at the 593 Brigade HQ.
A Guard Turnout presented to the 593 Brigade Commander on the anniversary day followed his address to the troops in the premises. He also planted a sapling inside the camp premises and added memories to the occasion.
