551 Brigade troops along with 4 Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and 16 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment jointly spearheaded a tournament of draughts during 11- 13 February in Point Pedro.
Final matches were held on Friday (13). Sergeant A.C.A Janaka Kumara clinched the Best player title of the tournament and Private P.M.I.K Pathirana became the Best Loser of the Tournament. The runner up team trophy was bagged by 4 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and the Champion team Trophy was conquered by the 552 Brigade. The 552 Brigade clinched the Best Brigade Trophy.
