15 (v) GR Troops Get School Accessories for Needy Students at Sarasalai

Troops of 15 (v) Gajaba Regiment (GR) of the 522 Brigade under the 52 Division on the directions of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna with sponsorship received from the South-based St. Mary’s College in Awissawella distributed a stock of school accessories on Friday (27) among 16 selected students, learning at Sri Ganesha Vidyalaya at Sarasalai, Jaffna.

Troops serving the area having learnt about economic hardships of those underprivileged families explored possibilities of helping them since the school sessions for the year 2020 are about to begin.

The generosity, extended by the Principal and Staff of the Awissawella St Mary's College enabled them to organize the distribution on account of Christmas festive season. Each gift included much-needed exercise books, regalia and other accessories required for the 2020 academic year.
