Jaffna Troops Continue Their Coconut Sapling Cultivation Project

Giving a boost to the ongoing coconut sapling cultivation project of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J), under the 'Let us Stand Together for the Country - 2019' Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna joined one more phase by planting coconut saplings in the general area of Palaly on Monday (19).

SFHQ-J in close cooperation with the office of the Governor for Northern Province and the Jaffna District Secretariat has launched the project to popularize cultivation of coconut saplings in the peninsula as an economic product that would help improve the livelihoods of needy people in the long run.
