Troops Repair Civilian’s Damaged Roof

Troops of 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) of the 653 Brigade under the 65 Division swiftly offered their emergency assistance for repair of a house roof of a civilian, swept away by recent cyclonic winds. On being informed of the damage caused to the roof of Mrs Vadivel Sellamma in the general area of 4th Mile Post, Ambalpuram, the 653 Brigade Commander, Colonel J.A.J.L.B Udowita on the directions of Major General Wasantha Kumarapperuma, General Officer Commanding, 65 Division sent SLLI troops there to repair the damage with Army raw materials.
