Chief of Staff Receives Update on Akuregoda Construction Work

Major General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Staff on Tuesday (23) visited the new Defence Headquarters complex at Akuregoda and received an update on its progress of construction. A senior Air Force Officer in charge of a section of the construction presented a multi media account of the work, yet to be completed and the portions receiving final touches.

Major General Silva spoke to the workforce on the site and inquired into various facets of the construction and walked round the premises. He also closely looked at a model and raised a few questions pertaining to technical aspects and so on.
