Troops of the 11 (Volunteer) Gajaba Regiment (GR) under command to the 65 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN), together with 651 Brigade troops cleaned the Kariyalnagapadduvan Canal on Saturday (29) since it remains infested with weeds and wild bushes.
One officer and 100 troops attended hand in hand with the civilian population. General Officer Commanding, 65 Division, Brigadier Wasantha Kumarapperuma directed the project and it was completed under the supervision of the Commander, 651 Brigade, Brigadier Ranjith Abeysinghe and the Commanding Officer, 11 GR.
