9 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) troops of the 121 Brigade under the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-Cen) on being informed of a bush fire that was spreading in Mukulara Kanda, Kumbukkana area in the Moneragala District on Saturday (14) rushed to the scene and brought it under control within a few hours.
One Officer and twenty five Other Ranks on the instructions of Major General Rukmal Dias, Commander, Security Forces - Central (SF-Cen) and the 121 Brigade Commander attended to the emergency and contained it.
