One More IT Course Educates Jaffna Troops

Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) in coordination with the Orient Lanka Academy which has offered its professional training modules to the Security Forces, conducted one more computer training course for the benefit of soldiers serving the SFHQ-J.

The course got underway at the 3 Battalion of Sri Lanka Signal Corps Headquarters during 1 - 25 June before the certificate awarding ceremony took place.

Around 25 soldiers, representing under command battalions took part in this course where Private S.M Sadeeshwaran of the 25 Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) secured the first place in order of merit.

Private H.D.R Kumara of the 16 Corps of Engineer Services (CES) and Private A.M.P Amarasinghe of the 5 Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) were awarded second and third places respectively.

General Staff Officer I (Operations and Training) of the SFHQ-J, Lieutenant Colonel Nishantha Muthumala distributed the certificates during the closing ceremony, held at the SFHQ-J premises.
