Troops of the 58 Division in Galle under the Security Force Headquarters - West (SFHQ-West) in coordination with the Ministry of Environment, Southern Province joined hands together with civil sector employees and cleaned up the beach front in Gintota, Galle during a huge ‘Shramadana’ campaign conducted on Saturday (23).
During the programme, 58 Division troops cleaned the area covering the entire beach front in Gingtota, Galle.
The drive was facilitated on the instructions of the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 58 Division, Major General Sudath Perera, having noticed the poor condition of the coastal belt in Gintota.
3 Officers and 50 Other Ranks of the 58 Division, together with officials of the Ministry of Environment, Southern Province including its Secretary and residents in the area participated in the inauguration of the project.
A backhoe loader was provided by the Ministry of Environment, Southern Province to collect the garbage.Sports brands | Nike for Men
