18 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) and 14 (V) Gemunu Watch troops of the 51 Division under the Security Force Headquarters – Jaffna (SFHQ-J) recently extended their support to clean Uyanpuram Madya Maha Vidyalaya and Gramiya Ayurveda Hospital premises in Uyanpuram, Jaffna after requests to this effect were made to the 51 Division Headquarters, commanded by Major General Roshan Seneviratne, General Officer Commanding.
2 teachers and 15 students also contributed to the cleaning programme at Uyanpuram Madya Maha Vidyalaya in Jaffna, together with a group of Army personnel of the 18 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) of the 513 Brigade.
Another group of Army personnel of the 14 (V) GW of the 51 Division joined a ‘Shramadana’ project at Gramiya Auyurveda Hospital premises in Uyanpuram and cleaned it.
Meanwhile, a group of 18 (V) SLSR troops conducted another ‘Shramadana’ project recently at Sandilipay Hindu College premises along with students and teachers.
