Aussies Learn More About SFHQ-J Roles

An Australian delegation touring the northern peninsula called at the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna SFHQ-J on Monday (19) in order to receive an update on the roles and tasks of the troops serving the peninsula.

Colonel Anuruddha Seneviratne, Colonel General Staff, SFHQ-J on behalf of Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna received the delegation and educated them on ongoing reconciliation process, reconstruction and development projects as well as the plight of rehabilitated ex-combatants.

Mr Tim Huggins, Deputy High Commissioner in High Commission of Australia in Sri Lanka, Group Captain Sean Unwin, Defence Adviser, Mr. Scott Matheson - Minister Counsellor Border Protection, Mr. Hasan Sowaid, Counsellor Customs and Border Protection, Mr. Jacob Purcell, Federal Agent Australian Federal Police and Ruvi Jayawickrema, Office Manager, Department of Defence of the Australian Government were included in the delegation that visited the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna.
