School Students in Two Remote Pre-schools Given Accessories

Carefully selected100 pre-school children from low income families in Mullaittivu Districts recently received free school books, school bags and accessories, following an initiative taken by the 683 Brigade of the 68 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) on the instructions of its Brigade Commander, Colonel D. P Jayasinghe on Thursday (17) at Sugandipuram pre-school and ‘Jeewa Jothi’ pre-school in Walluwarpuram respectively.

16 Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) and 7 Gemunu Watch (GW) troops in close cooperation with the 683 Brigade Headquarters did the coordination part and participated in the distribution of those educational accessories among the pre-school students during simple ceremonies, held separately at Sugandipuram pre-school and Walluwarpuram ‘Jeewa Jothi’ pre-school premises in Mullaittivu respectively.

Colonel D. P Jayasinghe, Brigade Commander, 683 Brigade, attended the both distribution ceremonies as the Chief Guest.

Several Senior Officers, teachers, parents and students took part in the arrangements.
