Troops of the Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) assisted the ongoing National Dengue Prevention Campaign, conducted in Kilinochchi areas on 17 August on the directions of Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Commander, Security Forces - KLN.
More than 700 Army personnel serving under the 57, 65 and 66 Divisions, engaged in Kilinochchi, Pooneryn, Mulankavil, Visuamadu and Kandavalei areas, joined hands together to control this deadly epidemic with Medical Officers, Policemen, residents and Public Health Inspectors (PHI) in the area.
The National Dengue Control Unit of the Health Ministry assisted the Dengue Prevention campaign which is still underway.
