Army coordinates two-day clinic
Colombo SUCCESS organization was recently in Vavuniya to conduct a special two-day long Medical and Eye Clinic for the benefit of villagers in Alagalle, Ulukkulam and Nelukkulam villages.
The programme, coordinated and lavishly supported by the Civil Administrative Officer in Wanni, Colonel R. B. M Rathnayake, also saw distribution of clothes, stationery, books and educational equipment among those who attended those clinics.
While those clinics were on, Army personnel, Policemen and Home Guards lined up to donate blood that could be used for treatment of patients at Vavuniya hospital.
The medical team came in for praise by the people and the Security Forces for their excellent humanitarian gesture. Major General N. Wijesinghe and a host of senior Officers attended the occasion.
