Naval troops on Wednesday (14) morning accorded a Guard of Honour to the new Commander of the Army Lieutenant General S. H. S Kottegoda after he was received at the Navy Headquarters, Colombo by senior Naval officers in accordance with military traditions
Navy Commander Vice Admiral Daya Sandagiri welcomed the visiting delegate at his office after Lieutenant General Kottegoda received the Guard of Honour hosted by naval troops in his honour. He was subsequently introduced to the senior naval officers by Vice Admiral Sandagiri where he exchanged a few thoughts with them and was entertained to tea
To mark his formal visit to the Navy, Vice Admiral Sandagiri presented the visiting military chief with a memento and invited him to place his signature on the VIP book as a token of memory.. .
