Major General J. R. S de Silva RSP VSV USP (Retd) of the Sri Lanka Army Engineers Regiment passed away on Tuesday (13).
He retired from the Army in 1992 while he served the Office of the Chief of Staff. He served the Army for 34 years after he was commissioned in 1959.
His cremation with military honours is scheduled to take place on Thursday (15 July 2004) at General Cemetery Borella.
His remains are lying at No. 4/8, Cemetery Rd, Mirihana, Nugegoda.
