TELO Office Attacked With Five Hand Grenades
SUSPECTED TAMIL TIGERS (LTTE) MONDAY (13) EVENING at about 7.45 p.m. bombed the district office of the LTTE's political rival, Tamil Eelam Liberation Organization (TELO) at BATTICALOA five times in a series and inflicted injuries on a TELO member.
Those attackers have thrown five hand grenades in a series but only three grenades had reportedly exploded causing damages to the TELO office and injuries to its member.
The Army Bomb Disposal Squad who rushed to the scene later defused two of those hand grenades that remained unexploded after they were thrown at the office.
TELO member, T. A. LOGANADAN (39) who was near the TELO office at the time of the explosion was admitted to hospital with serious injuries, according to the BATTICALOA Police station. The SLMM has been intimated.
The BATTICALOA Police are conducting investigations.

Toddler Injured In Kilinochchi Admitted To Jaffna Hospital
AN INJURED TODDLER following an explosion that had reportedly occurred in un-cleared areas of KILINOCHCHI had been admitted to JAFFNA Teaching hospital on Monday (13) around 2.55 p.m. after he was transferred from KILINOCHCHI.
The four-year old N. ELILAN RAJ of PERIYAVILANKULAM in VAVUNIKULAM with blast injuries has undergone a surgery, according to the Police Post at JAFFNA Teaching hospital.
The Police however are unable to investigate into the explosion or arrest any suspects since the crime has taken place in un-cleared KILINOCHCHI area.
The matter was to be referred to the Judicial Medical Officer at the hospital.
