CR AND FC TROUNCE ARMY

Army\'s cherished dream to secure its Rugby crown in the field shattered when Army ruggerites confronted CR and FC at Longdon Place on Sunday (23) during ongoing Inter-Club Rugby tournament.

Agility of their Kenyan player Dennis Mwanga, coupled with espirit de corps of the CR and FC players swept the team to victory dashing down all strategies adopted by soldiers who finally managed to score mere 10 against CR's 41.

CR and FC's win rich with three goals and four tries was expedited by Mwanga\'s invincible movements, who was profusely and vehemently aided and abetted by CR & FC's Samoan player Kirosome.

On the other hand, it was the Kenyan, Earnest Gikonoya and Edwin Shimanga, who raised Army's scoreboard to a two figure one.

Sri Lanka Army team hitherto remained the crowning pinnacle of the local rugby industry for many years however scored the first point in this match when Kapila Knowlton made it with a penalty.
