Army Troops Douse Bush Fire at Ambuluwawa

More than 33 Army personnel of the 111 Brigade of the 11 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) hurried Saturday (3) night and doused a fire that erupted around the foot at the Ambuluwawa Hill in Galpaya areas in Gampola.

Troops in the area were alerted to the fast spreading bush fire by civilians, prompting the soldiers of the 2 (V) Sri Lanka Rifle Corps (SLRC) to rush to the scene.

By 11.30 pm at night, the troops completely brought the fast spreading fire under control with the support of some civilians who came to the location.
