All Contributors to the Success Story of Defence Seminar Hailed

Photos do speak, of course louder than what the naked eye sometimes perceives. In this instance, the just concluded ‘Defence Seminar -2015’ was made a resounding success, due to collective efforts of many committees, sub committees and many teams of committed Army personnel.

Under the close supervision of the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva, Major General Jagath Dias, Chief of Staff as the Chairman of all Coordinating Committees, attended to the meticulous aspects of all arrangements that were in place for the conduct of the sessions in an impressive manner.

Directorate of Training was able to bring all the pieces together and segment all intellectual sub themes into proper format, carefully selecting more than 30 resource personnel who were to address the sessions. Themes thus selected and taken up stirred the intellectual debate and evoked meaningful exchange of views.

In the same vein, the mammoth cultural spectacle that went on the boards at the Hotel Cinnamon Grand as organized by the Adjutant General’s Branch held the visiting delegates spellbound following its magnificent and colourful rhythmic beats as well as eye-catching spectacles that had blended together with Sri Lanka’s glorious and eventful history.

Officers and soldiers in their hundreds were busy spending sleepless nights during the final leg of the preparations as delegates began arriving in the country, a day or two before the commencing day.

During both days of the seminar, members of the Army attentively performed their tasks in an exemplary manner. Photos published below depict how a section of those disciplined men and women of the Army were busy in and around the Galadari Hotel during both days.
