18(V) Gajaba Regiment (GR) troops under the Security Force Headquarters-Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) conducted a demonstration on Riot Control on Thursday (20) at the Battalion Headquarters, 18(V) GR, Paranthan.
On the directions of the General Officer Commanding, 66 Division and under the supervision of the Commander, 662 Brigade, the demonstration was conducted to educate troops on riot control.
So far, 1 officer and 2 other ranks of 18(V) GR have already undergone proper training at the Infantry Training Centre (ITC), Minneriya on Riot Control.
Officers and other riot control teams at the 66 Division witnessed the demonstration.
