The third annual memorial oration of late General Deshamannya Dennis Perera, organized by the Association of Retired Flag Rank Officers (ARFRO), was held at the Kotelawala Defence University(KDU) on Tuesday (11), attended by the spouse of late General Perera, Chief of Defence Staff, tri-service Commanders and a large gathering of both serving and retired tri-service officers and relatives of General Deshamannya Dennis Perera.
Rear Admiral Sarath Ratnakeerthi, President, ARFRO, Chancellor KDU and Vice Chancellor, KDU, welcomed the distinguished guests.
The memorial lecture ‘Sri Lanka the Littoral State: Its Significance and Role in Maritime Security in the Indian Ocean’, was delivered by the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the invitation of the ARFRO and KDU authorities.
