Major General A.S Peiris (Retd), a veteran in the Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) Regiment, passed away on Monday (3) at the age of 72 years after a distinguished military career of more than 34 years.
His remains are lying at 20/3A, Vijaya Kumaratunga Mawatha, Averihena Road, Polhengoda, Kirulapana.
The funeral with military honours will take place on Saturday (8) at the General Cemetery, Borella at 4.00 p.m.
