A workshop on “Entrepreneurship”, meant to impart knowledge to Non Commissioned Officers (NCOs), planning to begin a new vocation after retirement, was held during May 7-8 at the Non-Commissioned Officers Training School (NCOTS) at Kalaoya, Saliyawewa with the coordination of Officers of the Divisional Secretariat, Karuwalagaswewa.
A total of 50 Army personnel attended the workshop, conducted by officers of the Divisional Secretariat.
Army attendees were educated on the importance of initiating a business, how business opportunities are found, availability of loans, marketing strategy, future planning, identification of business opportunities, management, characteristics related to entrepreneurship, promotion of positive approaches, etc.
NCOTS Commandant and several senior officers were present at the inauguration.
