Army personnel of the 611 Brigade, together with the 25 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) and the 9 Sri Lanka (SLSR) battalions under the 61 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W), shared Buddhist virtues of generosity opening a fried rice ‘Dansela’ at Brigade Headquarters area on 04 May on account of Vesak Poya Day.
The free eatery attracted more than 3000 sight-seers who came there to see ‘Vesak’ decorations on account of the commemoration. The ‘Dansela’ was organized as a gesture of goodwill under the supervision of the Commander, 611 Brigade and the directions of Brigadier W.A. Wanniarachchi, General Officer Commanding, 61 Division.
