Troops of the 55 Division under the Security Force Headquarters – Jaffna (SFHQ-J) held their New Year festival with participation of a large number of civil and Army personnel at the Kadeikadu play ground on Thursday (16).
Different games of traditional and fun making were organized during the celebrations, including Marathon Races, Bicycle Races, Bun-eating, cadjan weaving and tug-of-war.
Major General M.K.D. Perera, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 55 Division attended the New Year Festival as the Chief Guest.
