The Ambassador of People's Republic of China in Sri Lanka, HE Mr Yi Xianliang on Friday (17) paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva at the Army Headquarters.
The cordial meeting that exchanged views on several bilateral aspects in relation to both People’s Liberation Army of China and Sri Lanka Army was largely focused on ongoing cooperation for training programmes.
Exchange of mementos culminated the cordial meeting between the diplomat and the Army Chief.
Major General Mahesh Senanayake, Military Secretary and Senior Colonel Li Chenglin, Military, Naval and Air Attaché of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka also attended the meeting.
