A military delegation of the Army Command and Staff College (ACSC) of Nepal, currently on a familiarized-tour, intending to enhance their military and strategic understanding of the region, called on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake at the Army Headquarters, Wednesday (14) evening.
The delegation comprised of 32 Officers, headed by Nepal’s ACSC’s Commandant, Major General Binoj Basnyat.
Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake spoke to a section of the representatives after receiving them before Brigadier K.P.A Jayasekara, Director Training at Army Headquarters presented a multi media account of the Army roles and tasks, followed by a question and answer session.
During this week-long visit, the delegation will visit Sri Lanka Navy and Air Force Headquarters and a few leading defence institutions such as the Defence Services Command and Staff College at Sapugaskanda, Air Force Museum at Ratmalana, Kotelawala Defence University at Ratmalana, etc.
The delegation will also visit selected cultural and religious sites during their stay.
