Pakistan Army Gifts Relief Stocks to Sri Lanka Army for Distribution among Landslide Victims

A consignment of relief medical supplies and emergency accessories donated by Pakistan for the use of koslandawatta - Meeriyabedda landslide victims, was handed over to the Sri Lanka Army on Tuesday (04) afternoon at  Katunayaka Bandaranayake International Airport.

A team of 18 officers from the Pakistan Army, led by the High Commissioner of Pakistan in Sri Lanka, HE Major General Qasim Qureshi, handed over relief stocks containing, 10 generators, shelters, 150 tents, 0.7 Tones of medicine, to the Sri Lanka Army Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General E.M.M Ambanpola, who was presented at the air port on behalf of the Commander of the Army.

The Pakistan team with technicians and other tradesmen would assist the Sri Lanka Army by providing technical Knowhow for their installation, etc.

More segment of the stock of relief aids from Pakistan will arrive in Sri Lanka on Wednesday (05).
