Delegation from Chinese Academy of Military Science Calls on Commander

 
A six-member high-level delegation of the Academy of Military Science (AMS) of Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) currently on tour in Sri Lanka, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake at the Army Headquarters Friday (24) forenoon.
 
The delegation, headed by Lieutenant General HE Lei, Vice Chancellor of Academy of  Military Science, Major General Chen Rongdi, Deputy Chief of Department of Operational Theories and Doctrine Studies, Colonel Zhang Liting, Deputy Chief of Comprehensive Planning Section in the Department of Research Guidance, Senior Colonel LI Zhaocheng, Director of Campaign Research Office in Department of Operational Theories and Doctrine Studies, Senior Colonel NIE Wenxin, Deputy Director of Research Office of Military Management and Legislative Affairs in Department of Armed Forces Building and Colonel Zhu Yuxing, Director of Foreign Affairs Office of the AMS  during the courtesy call, extended their best wishes on the Army and its progression in the future.
 
Lieutenant General Ratnayake expressed his gratitude to the PLA for its continued support for promotion of professional standards and knowledge of service personnel of Sri Lanka as well as the infrastructure facilities of military institutions across the country.
 
The cordial meeting ended with exchange of mementoes before the delegation viewed a presentation on the Sri Lanka Army, submitted by the Directorate of Training at Army Headquarters. Major General Amal Karunasekara, Military Secretary was also associated with the Commander’s meeting.
 
The delegation during their stay in Sri Lanka is scheduled to pay courtesy calls on Commander of the Navy and Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force. Earlier, the delegation met Major General U.A.B Medawela, Commander, Security Force Headquarters, West (SFHQ-West) and the Chief of Defence Staff.
