SFHQ-E Troops Launch More Community Services

Troops of the 221, 231 and 242 Brigades under the 22 and the 24 Division of the Security Force Headquarters East (SFHQ-E) recently conducted several more community projects to uplift the living standard and attitudes towards the security forces, serving the SFHQ-E area with the guidance of Major General Lal Perera, Commander, SFHQ-E.

12 Gajaba Regiment (GR) troops meanwhile organized a cricket tournament with the participation of 44 cricket clubs in Batticaloa area at Sivananda Play Ground and Pattalipuram Public Ground in Batticaloa on Saturday (27).

On the same day, troops of the 23 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) conducted a medical clinic for students in Halannuge Central College, Ampara with the sponsorship of Diamond Star Lions Club, Attanagalle. During the occasion, 156 students were gifted with parcels of school accessories, each worth of Rs. 3000.00.

Troops of 6 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) in the meantime distributed school accessories among 21 students at Kandamalawa Preschool, Gomarankadawala on Monday (29). On the same day 2 GR troops conducted a ‘Shramadhana’ campaign to clean the surroundings of Gunanashwaram Preschool, Anpuwelipuram, Trincomalee.

Meanwhile, 221 Brigade troops donated a brand new computer and a printer to Jayasumanarama Temple in Trincomalee with the sponsorship of a donor in Colombo area on Monday (29).
