Drought-affected civilians resident in the Unit 7 in the resettled Awaranthulawa village received dry ration packets and drinking water bottles, courtesy ‘Global Shapers Colombo Hub’, each packet worth about Rs 3000/=.
Following initiatives of the 211 Brigade Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W), a total of 115 families received those relief packets on Sept 21 under the programme.
Messrs Ranjith Wijethilake, Ms Maheema Botheju and Ms Theja Dias of the sponsors, representatives of the office of Rehabilitation Commissioner General, Assistant Director of Wanni Rehabilitation Centre, Brigadier D.T Gamage, Commander, 211 Brigade and many others took part in the occasion.
