Engineer troops of the 571 Brigade of the 57 Division under the Security Force Headquarters-Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) on the directions of Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, SFHQ-KLN, initiated the construction of a much-needed pre-school nursery in close proximity to the Malayalampuram Kovil on Monday (15).
The leading businessman in Malayalampuram, Mr S.K Nadeshan readily offered financial support for purchase of all building materials, needed for the construction. SFHQ-KLN in coordination with the 571 Brigade and 9 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment troops are to donate their manpower for completion of the project within a few weeks.
On Monday (15), Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Assistant District Secretary, Mr Chandrabalan, General Officer Commanding, 57 Division and several other invitees laid the foundation stone at the auspicious minute and commenced the project.
