Security Force Headquarters Wanni (SFHQ-W) intending to improve professional standards of serving battalion commanders and potential battalion commanders on Friday (25) introduced two courses; Commanding Officers’ Course and Second- in Commanders’ Course at the SFHQ-W auditorium on the directions of Major General Boniface Perera, Commander, SFHQ-W.
This two-week long course covers Staff Duties and Operational Staff Duties, Command, Management, Intelligence, Leadership, Current Affairs, etc, is now on with the participation of Wanni Commanding Officers and Second-in Commanders serving under the SFHQ-W.
The open address was delivered by Brigadier H.P Senevirathne, Brigadier General Staff (BGS), SFHQ-W in the presence of Brigadier D.T Gamage and Brigadier J.C Gamage.
Afterwards, an open conversational gambit was conducted by Colonel L.D.S.S Liyanage, Colonel General Staff, SFHQ-W in order to learn and share experiences of those officers with one another.
