Troops serving 21, 22, 23 Divisions of the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) listened to a series of lectures on ‘Drug Abuse & Prevention from Addiction to Dangerous Drugs’ during July 8-10 with the coordination done by Directorate of Psychological Operations at Army Headquarters.
Following instructions of the Commander of the Army, these lectures were organized by Brigadier B.H.M.A Wijesinghe, Director, Directorate of Psychological Operations in close coordination with the SFHQ-E. More than 550 officers and other ranks listened to these lectures separately in all three places (21, 22, 23 Division Headquarters).
A group of officials from the National Council for Control of Dangerous Drugs spoke at length about the dangers, associated with those different drugs.
